7 tips to creating a better lifestyle
I want to give you 7 tips to create a healthier lifestyle that is maintainable and does not take up all your time.
a healthy lifestyle should add to your well-being not make you feel stressed,
these 7 tips will help make it easier to create good habits making a healthy lifestyle feel less stressful.
It can be hard to know what to eat or how much exercise to do, but often, we overthink too much and waste time that we should be using to execute.
Doing the wrong thing is better than doing nothing at all.
good habits can be challenging to maintain but with the right mindset you will soon have better habits,
as you start creating a better life for yourself remember we want growth over perfection so give yourself grace.
practice these small habits every day for the next 30 days and they will soon become part of your routine, creating a sustainable lifestyle.
add at least one healthy meal to your day
eating healthier is probably the most important thing when it comes to creating a healthy lifestyle
because your mood and immune system are directly connected to your gut so getting proper nutrition is essential.
I don’t think we should cut out everything that is not necessarily good for us but rather start adding more real food into our diet that actually fuels our bodies it doesn’t need to happen in one day or even a week.
start by adding one nutritious meal into your day, one that you can eat every day,
I started doing this for my breakfast and it has helped me stay consistent with getting more nutrients.
here’s what I eat: oatmeal with cinnamon, honey, and raisins it takes me about 5 minutes to make it which makes it super efficient,
I know exactly what I’m having every morning so I don’t have to spend 15 minutes deciding what to make.
I like having stable foods like oatmeal or rice because I can eat them every day but add different toppings and seasonings like with rice it is easy to add some fried vegetables or different kinds of meat.
find some stable foods that you like so you can make quick meals, make a list of all the foods you can think of that you could eat every day
try to have a balance of vegetables, meat, and grain, then keep these ingredients on hand.
some more of my favorites are cottage cheese which is high in protein and you can eat it with a meal for a protein boost or eat it as a snack with apples and honey.
exercise for at least 30 minutes each day
you can either work or stretch for 30 minutes each day
if you don’t like working out find something that you like doing that keeps you active such as walking, running, or hiking try it with a friend or your dog you might start liking it!
or play sports like volleyball, pickleball, or spike ball this will help you stay active.
fitness is so important for our well-being make it your priority.
journal
Writing down your thoughts can help you feel organized and create a better lifestyle.
you can use journaling as a habit and a win tracker where you write down even the smallest win then you can keep yourself accountable and it will be easier to build good habits.
read more books
it is endless what books can teach us if we take the time to read them and it can replace dome scrolling,
books can teach us new skills, or more about the ones we already have.
new books can be quite expensive that’s why I like buying used books, my favorite places to get used books are thrift stores or online used book stores like thrift books
if you think you don’t like reading then you probably just haven’t read the right kind of books.

morning routine
create a morning routine that helps you achieve your daily habits first thing in the morning, by getting a few wins first thing in the morning it will build your self-esteem and make you feel accomplished.
try to wake up at the same time every morning this will help you establish a morning routine.
bedtime routine
try to go to bed at the same time every night and have a nighttime routine this will help you be consistent with your morning routine.
start winding down 30 mins to 1 hour before bed you can read a book, or journal, drink a cup of calming tea, and/or do some self-care try not to look at your phone during or after this time.
less screen time
as long as we are distracted we will not succeed remember that the next time you start dome scrolling.
scrolling has become such a habit that we sometimes don’t even realize that we are scrolling until about 5 minutes later and then we sit there for another hour, that’s an entire hour that we could be using to get fit or cook a nutritious meal. I’m so guilty of doing this 🙁
so the next time you catch yourself mindlessly scrolling through Instagram reels put down your phone and think about the goals that you should be achieving.
not looking at a screen right before bed will help you get better sleep, I know it’s hard because your girl loves a good Chinese drama before bed, but I also love waking up feeling energized and ready for the day.
